A post-doctoral position or a research professor position is now open at the Center for Advanced Structure-Multi-Field Interactive Technology (CASMIT). The CASMIT is sponsored by the BK-21 Program of the Korea Ministry of Education and several other research funds. The position is available from September 2013. The term of appointment will be one year, renewable for the second year. The yearly salary is 15 Million Won (about 15,000 U$) - 24 Million Won (about 24,000 U$) depending on his/her qualification. Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field; and strong theoretical, computational, and/or experimental experience in one of following areas:
1) flow-induced vibration and/or aeroelasticity
2) structural acoustics
3) damage identification and health monitoring, and
4) vibration control and smart structures (modeling, analysis, and design).
The individual selected will be welcomed to teach a class of graduate course, only upon his/her request, with additional payment from university.
